-Daily cases spike to 2,304 - Punjab reports highest death toll since July - 3 colleges shut in KP districts


Daily cases spike to 2,304

Authorities have reported 2,304 new COVID cases along with 37 more fatalities during the last 24 hours in the country. Out of 23,641 active cases, 55 were declared critical. At least 714 people have recovered from the virus during the same period.

Punjab reports highest death toll since July

Punjab has confirmed its highest daily death toll since July when 17 people died from the virus along with 601 new cases during the last 24 hours. Rawalpindi and Islamabad reported another three deaths along with 53 and 333 new cases in the twin cities.

 3 colleges shut in KP districts

Authorities have closed down three colleges in the districts of Mardan, Lower Dir, and Swabi after staff and students tested positive for COVID. The colleges shut are Government Girls Degree College In Mardan, Government Degree College, in Dir and Swabi-Maneri Bala Degree College for Girls.
