Girl gang raped by classmate, his friends

A Government College University Faisalabad Campus student hailing from Larkana was gang raped by a classmate and his friends in his home in Chiniot on Monday, October 26.

According to Chiniot police, prime accused Shahid managed to lure his female classmate under the pretext of holding a milad at his home. Shahid, together with three accomplices, gang raped the girl and filmed the assault as well. Police managed to arrest the prime accused after a medico-legal examination of the rape survivor confirmed sexual assault, however the remaining three suspects are still at large.

Minor boy raped in Swabi

A seven-year-old boy was allegedly raped by one Ikram Khan in Parmuli village of Razar tehsil, Swabi district on Monday. According to the rape survivor’s statement, he was returning from school when the accused forcibly took him into an overgrown field and subjected him to sexual assault. The boy returned home in terrible condition, and informed his parents about the ordeal upon asking.

The boy’s father stated that they were originally from Mardan but had settled in Parmuli. The accused is also originally from Mardan and was settled in the same village. Parmuli police arrested the accused shortly after a case was lodged – Khan confessed to the assault during interrogation. The medical reports of the rape survivor are still awaited.

Minor sisters burned in acid attack

Sisters Sabia (15) and Bushra (12) sustained severe burns after a neighbor, Aleem, threw acid on them as revenge for their family’s rejection of his proposal for Sabia.

According to the girls’ father, Habib, they were visiting his in-laws Chak 215-RB when a neighbor, Safia, invited the girls over to attend a milad. After the girls did not return for some time, he and his in-laws went over and found Aleem with a glassful of acid in his hand. The accused threw the acid on the two girls, burning Sabia’s face and arms, and Bushra’s back.

A case has been registered against the accused under sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 336-B (punishment for hurt by corrosive substance) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), while Aleem has been apprehended. The girls have been shifted to a district headquarters (DHQ) hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident in Liaquatabad Town in Karachi, a district central judicial magistrate on Monday sent three men, Waleed, Bilal and Saifullah, to judicial remand for threatening an eighteen-year-old female neighbor with burning her with acid for refusing Waleed’s proposal.

According to the complainant, the girl’s mother, Waleed had sent a proposal for her daughter but she declined as the girl was already engaged to someone else. Following the rejected, Waleed began making harassing phone calls to the girl and her family, threatening to burn her face with acid. Waleed’s accomplices, Bilal and Saifullah, also began sending her threats and even abused her thirteen-year-old brother upon confronting them about the harassment. A case was lodged under sections 506-B (punishment for criminal intimidation if threat be to cause death or grievous hurt), and 25D (penalty for causing annoyance) of the Telegraph Act, 1885.
