Sectarianism won’t be tolerated
People fanning religious hatred and sectarianism on social media in Muharram will face action. Punjab police and FIA Cybercrime Wing will place them on the terrorist list

PM can name anyone as his aide: IHC
The Constitution allows the Prime Minister to name anyone as his advisor, says the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The court says the PM will be within his rights if he did not appoint a qualified person. IHC was hearing a plea against the appointment of Advisor to PM Mirza Shahzad Akbar.

SC can back lower courts’ orders
Any verdict of a court below the apex court can be endorsed by the Supreme Court. Apex court can issue the order if satisfied with its conclusions and reasoning. It will not interfere in judgment if challenged before the court.

Saba Qamar, Bilal Saeed to face court on Sept 3
Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed will appear before a court in Lahore on September 3. Both are accused of desecrating the Wazir Khan mosque. The court also stopped police from arresting them.

Team to investigate woman lawyer’s alleged kidnap
A three-member police team will probe alleged kidnapping of woman lawyer Irshad Nasreen in Depalpur city. The video and photos of the kidnapped woman had gone viral on social media.
