Balochistan Extends Lockdown

The Balochistan government has extended a smart lockdown in the province for another 15 days till 30th June.

According to a government notification, all shopping malls, markets, and shops will remain functional from 9 am to 7 pm from Saturday to Thursday.

Selected Lockdown In KP, Sindh

Sindh and KP governments have imposed smart lockdown in the areas identified as potential Covid-19 hotspots.

But medics say that the policy of selected lockdown will not be helpful in slowing down the virus outbreak.

NHS Warns Against Plasma Therapy

The Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) announced that plasma therapy should not be considered as a cure for coronavirus.

The ministry warned that there could be serious side effects of plasma therapy including the transmission of diseases like HIV, hepatitis B, and C.

Police Official Dies

A recently promoted inspector of Rawalpindi police has died of coronavirus in the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology.  He left behind a widow and six children.

At least 90 police officials have been so far tested positive for Covid-19 in the Rawalpindi division. The infected officials are from SP to the constable ranks.
