Prisoners can sue the State for ‘Inhumane Treatment’

Overcrowding of jails declared unconstitutional, prisoners can sue the state for denial of the right to life and inhumane treatment. Most victims belong to economically & socially marginalized sections do not have access to courts.

Government Ads

APNS has reservations over the new procedure for the release of government ads and payment of advertisement bills. The consultation was meaningless for govt, it had already decided to implement the draft policy inimical to press freedom.

Boy Tortured

15 years Yousaf was allegedly tortured by a spiritual healer in Minchinabad. He was admitted boy to hospital by police. Yousaf’s picture with a broken arm went viral on social media accused denies allegations, investigations underway.
