Gender Equality – Reading the Constitution from Women’s Perspective
Roundtable 2, chaired by Dr. Nafisa Shah, discussed "Gender Equality" with experts Nida Aly and Sabahat Rizvi, and discussants Farida Shaheed and Usama Malik. They proposed amendments for equal access to education, healthcare, employment, and protection from gender-based violence. Reclaiming The Space: Reading the Constitution from Women’s Perspective
The Ministry of Law & Justice, in collaboration with the Women's Parliamentary Caucus, successfully concluded a seminar titled "Reclaiming The Space: Reading the Constitution from Women's Perspective" on 5th-6th June 2023. The seminar aimed to promote gender equality in Pakistan by analyzing constitutional provisions and proposing amendments. Exciting recommendations emerged, emphasizing women's empowerment and equal standing in society.
