Residents of the WANA region in Pakistan have been protesting for the past 7 days against the increased militancy and terrorist attacks in the area. The protests have resulted in the blockage of major roads and have been joined by political parties and groups such as ANP, NDM, and PTM
Various political parties protested against the growing unrest in Mohmand tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The protesters warned the government that the effects of ongoing unrest in the tribal areas would soon be seen in Lahore and Karachi as well.

January 28th, 2021; By Farooq Mehsud; LAHORE; Hundreds of Mehsud tribesmen held a demonstration outside the Deputy Commissioner’s camp office in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The tribesmen are protesting the delay in payment compensation for houses damaged in the Rah-i-Nijaat operation in South Waziristan. On January 27, the protesters rode to Tank in vehicles from South Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, and other areas of KP. The affected tribesmen accused the district administration of corruption saying surveyors had taken Rs 100,000 from each household.
