Usman Kakar Case: UN Special Rapporteurs Call for Investigation of “Kill List”
UN Special Rapporteurs have urged the Pakistan Government to investigate a 'kill list' published on Facebook by TTP and provide details of its response in connection with Usman Kakar's death and threats to journalists Gul Bukhari and Fazal ur Rehman Afridi and former Senator Farhatullah Babar. The government has 60 days to respond, failing which all communications will be made available in a report presented to the UN Human Rights Council. The UN rapporteurs have also urged measures to prevent harm to the individuals named on the list.
