‘Women Property Rights Act 2020 will prolong litigation for those deprived of inheritance’
September 7th, 2020; By Rehan Piracha; LAHORE: The Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Act 2020 will be ineffective as it will prolong litigation for women deprived of their inheritance. The Act empowers the Federal Ombudsperson of Prevention of Harassment of Women at Workplace to hear complaints of women who have been deprived of their inheritance but the other party can move the civil court, thereby aggrieved women will have to pursue simultaneous litigation.
