Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, Editor-in-Chief of Jang/GEO Group, has finally been released from jail after posting bail bonds of Rs10 million in a land case. Additional Prosecutor General of the National Accountability Bureau, stated that in other cases of similar nature bail has been conceded securing deposit in cash the government dues and in this case also bail will not be opposed provided that the petitioner is put to the same condition. He stated that Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman should be asked to surrender his passport and his name might be placed on the ECL to ensure that he continued to face the trial.
