Displaced and forgotten Afghans seek basic rights from international community
Over 1,700 Afghan families are holding demonstrations in Islamabad for the last two months, protesting the inhumane treatment meted out to women and children since they crossed into Pakistan following the Taliban takeover in August last year.

At least eight children and one woman died while more than 20 villagers suffered critical burns when a fire engulfed some 50 homes in a Dadu village Monday night. According to locals, firefighters and rescue teams never arrived while the blaze raged on for 12 hours.
