Historically speaking the TTP has always operated in the tribal areas in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) especially along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area. But now, their presence in Balochistan has gained a strong foothold.

20 missing persons return home in Balochistan

But almost 300 still remain unaccounted for. Details given by a Balochistan based organization, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) reveal that there are around 295 people who have still not returned to their families.

Protests in front of Balochistan Assembly prompt FIR over killing of youth
A 17 year old youth was killed due to firing by the FC Corps at the Pak-Afghan border town of Chaman, leading to even more protests by the already agitated public. The problem only quelled after a protest at Balochistan Assembly led to the filing of a FIR - albeit vague - against the FC personals.
