Sindh High Court Orders FIR for ‘Missing’ PTI Leader
The Sindh High Court has instructed the police to file a case if there is evidence of a possible crime in the disappearance of PTI leader Usman Dar. In a hearing led by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto, the court addressed the issue. The petitioner, Ali Tahir’s lawyer, mentioned that on September 20, the court had already directed the relevant police officer to initiate a case.
However, it was argued that the SHO at Malir Cantonment Police Station had refused to do so. DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar and SHO Mohammad Wakeel countered this claim, stating that the petitioner had never approached the SHO to request the FIR’s registration.
Honour Killing Attempt: Mother, Son, and Son-in-Law Arrested in Karachi
The victim’s mother, along with her son and son-in-law, attempted an honor killing, leaving Mirab and her three-year-old daughter, Jannat, severely injured. Miraculously, they survived. The trio responsible for this tragic incident in Surjani Town has been arrested for preserving family honour.
The incident occurred on September 28 in Siddique Goth, according to Amjad Kiyani, the SHO of Surjani police station. Mirab was injured, and sadly, Jannat lost her life. The detained individuals have admitted their wrongdoing, and a case related to this incident was swiftly filed at the Surjani police station. Law enforcement acted on intelligence and detained three suspects, including a woman connected to the incident.
Man Throws Acid on Wife in Lahore, Suspect Arrested
A disgruntled man, reportedly threw acid on his angry wife reportedly frustrated over failure to reconcile with her in Green Town, Lahore. The victim Zarina, was passing by a bazaar.
As she reached Hafiz Chowk, the suspect Nadeem accompanied by a woman Kiran captured her and threw acid on her face. The victim received burns. She was admitted to the hospital. Police arrested the suspect Nadeem.
