Minor girl raped and murdered after disappearance in Karachi
A young girl was raped and murdered in Karachi after going missing the day before. Her body was found in an open manhole in Surjani Town. The six-year-old had left her home to meet her father in the same neighbourhood but never returned.
Police and hospital officials confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted before her death. Despite the family not initially reporting her missing, an FIR will be lodged, and efforts are being made to apprehend those responsible.
Man Kills Wife and Mother-in-Law over Property Dispute
Man kills wife and mother-in-law in Okara over property dispute. Muhammad Arshad, along with an accomplice, pressured his wife and mother-in-law to sell their small agricultural land and cattle.
When they refused, Arshad shot his wife and mother-in-law. The police have arrested Arshad and filed a case against him and his accomplice.
Child abducted from flour distribution point in Dera
An eight-month-old child was kidnapped from a free flour distribution point in Dera Ismail Khan. Two women took the child from his sister during the distribution, and escaped from the area.
The police have traced the women through CCTV footage and a special team has been formed to recover the missing child.
Widow granted dues 10 years after husband`s death
A widow received pensionary benefits 10 years after her husband’s death with the help of the federal ombudsman. She filed a complaint against the Ministry of Human Rights for the delay in payment of her dues, which were admissible under the Prime Minister’s Assistance Package. Despite her repeated attempts to obtain her entitlements, she was unsuccessful until the federal ombudsman intervened.
The NTD and Ministry of Human Rights cited a shortage of funds for non-payment of her dues, but the federal ombudsman directed relevant officials to make the payment within 45 days, and ultimately all dues were paid to her.
