An Ahmadi man was brutally stabbed to death on the basis of religious discrimination in Chenab Nagar (Rabwah).
The killer was raising religious slogans at the time of the incident. He was arrested at the spot.
The promotion of hate campaign against Ahmadis has resulted in t fact that Ahmadis today do not consider themselves to be safe: Spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Community.
Chenab Nagar (PR): Today at around 08:00 am in the morning a religious fanatic fatally stabbed an Ahmadi man by attacking him several times with a dagger. According to the details Mr. Naseer Ahmad of 60 years was at Rabwah’s bus stop when a religious fanatic Shehzad Hasan s/o Ahmad Hasan told him to raise the slogans of “Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah” and “Khadim Rizvi Zindabad”. While reciting “Whosoever Abuses the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) should be Killed” the killer attacked Mr. Naseer Ahmad with a dagger and killed him on the spot. While succumbing to the injuries of the several attacks he died on the spot. The Killer was arrested on the spot.
According to the initial details the killer Hafiz Muhammad Shahzad Hasan Sialvi Rizvi belonged to a village near Silanwali, District Sargodha. He got admission in Madrassa Anwar-ul-Quran in the area of Police Station Muhaamad wala in 2005 and graduated in 2010.
The deceased belonged Dar-ul-Rehmat Sharqi , a neighbourhood of Rabwah. He was an extremely noble and simple person. He did not have any personal enmity with anyone. The deceased has left behind three daughters and a widow as the mourners.
While expressing his deep concerns and grief on this brutal act of murder the Spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Community Saleem-UD-Din said that a murder of an Ahmadi in broad daylight at the hands of a religious fanatic is extremely worrisome. The population of Rabwah consists of 95% Ahmadis and these Ahmadis are not even safe here. The promotion of hate campaign against Ahmadis has resulted in the fact that Ahmadis today do not consider themselves to be safe. The promoters of hate campaign are well known so why the government is not taking any action against them according to the law? The propagators of hate and extremism should be brought under control and in this way the killing in the name of religion could be stopped. The Spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Community has made a demand that the ones spreading religious fanaticism in the society, the ones who are inciting the public to kill simple people should be held accountable.
