Death toll climbs as COVID grips country

In the last 24 hours, the virus has claimed 54 lives, taking the country’s death toll to 7,897.

The NCOC recorded over 3,113 new cases across in the same period for the third consecutive day, taking the tally of total cases to 389,311.

Govt apprehensive about reinfections

The Punjab government seems apprehensive about investigating the recent rapidly increasing Covid-19 reinfections.
When notified of three such reinfections during the first stage of the virus the medical experts deemed them doubtful.

14 deaths in twin cities

There were 14 fatalities caused by Covid-19 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The administration also sealed the DC’s office after 10 staffers contracted the virus and religious seminaries were directed to stop all academic activities.
