A court in Peshawar has remanded into police custody Bashir Mastan accused of committing blasphemy through a viral video. A Lahore court has awarded a death sentence to a Christian man, Asif Pervaiz, for alleged blasphemous text messages in 2013.
PHC seeks records of military court convictions
Peshawar High Court has sought records of conviction of suspected militants by military courts from the government by October 13. The court was hearing 3,110 petitions filed by convicts and family members for the release of convicts.
Polio case in Pishin

Police baton-charge sacked mill workers
Faisalabad police have baton-charged dozens of workers for protesting against the layoff of 3,800 employees of a textile mill. The demonstrators had blocked the traffic on Sheikhupura-Faisalabad road to call for the restoration of the sacked workers.
