Front-Line Falls Prey To COVID-19

13 doctors and one nurse of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday in Sialkot.

18 doctors have died in the line of duty during the pandemic while nearly 2000 health-workers in Pakistan are already infected.

3 Doctors For Kurram District

The tehsil headquarters hospital in Alizai, Kurram tribal district has only three doctors for a population of 150,000.

The area has been home for many refugees since the 80s which includes providing them healthcare despite fewer resources.

Patients Attack Doctors

A doctor was attacked by suspected patients at Hayatabad Medical Complex because they had to wait according to procedural time.

Earlier a KP MPA also vandalized a health facility, Civil hospital Karachi was also attacked by citizens while a similar situation occurred in Rawalpindi.

Shops Open Except For The weekend

Some businesses allowed from Monday to Friday until 7 PM by strictly observing the SOPs with no trading on Saturday and Sunday.

High Risk Patients

The highest number of deaths recorded of COVID-19 patient in Rawalpindi and Islamabad were in the 60 to 69 age group.

In Rawalpindi, at least 69 out of 2600 patients have died while 171 more people tested positive in Islamabad on Monday.
