In Faisalabad, women recipients of government’s financial aid complained about severe mistreatment as they were forced to sit on the ground for hours outside, without any water.

The recipients usually wait for their turns from 8 am to 6 pm at the Ghulam Muhammadabad center.

Thousands are to receive the Rs.12000 each as promised by the government’s relief program for the poor and marginalized during the lock-down in Faisalabad.

Missing Professor

Professor Ghulam Shabir Kalhoro of Larkana returns home after being missing for eleven months and nine days.

According to reports he was left at Otha Chowk of Larkana by unknown men in a car on Thursday.

Civil society and various human rights activists had protested against his enforced disappearance from Larakna.

Ration Quality

At least 10.800 ration bags supplied to Sindh govt by local vendors for distribution were found to be underweight & substandard according to an inquiry report by the Bureau of Supply & Prices and food authority officials.

Upon receiving complaints by citizens and personal inspection the contractual vendors were asked to replace some items (of poor quality) in ration bags.

Deputy Commissioner Ghotki, Khalid Saleem also tweeted about the action with pictures on Wednesday.
