In another case, a mother of four children reported to AGHS that her children were taken away illegally from her, including a minor girl. The eldest daughter said that the accused subjected her to physical and sexual abuse. The mother Kausar Bibi, fearing the risk towards her children approached AGHS.
Owing to her concern, AGHS filed a habeas corpus petition and assisted in the recovery of her children through court. The custody of the minors was restored to the Kausar Bibi, the petitioner, in petition u/s 491 CrPC through Lahore High Court in August 2019.
